Because they would not be allowed to develop completely doesn't make them any less alive. For analogy I submit: I believe slavery to be wrong. By your argument I should not object to the slavery of slaves who will probably not be free at some point in the future. But let me ask you this. how exactly would you modify that analogy to illustrate in this stem cell issue that it is more humane to take these stem cells that will never be part of a human being and destroy them as a opposed using them to help the sick and dying. Because that is what is currently happening. I'm all for non embryonic stem cells which are the only ones that I have ever heard of effective medical treatments coming from. I just don't believe in the exploitation of helpless humans to save other helpless humans.
