They work out all day, sleep all night and love to hang out in prison like it's a social club. It makes me sick to see so much money wasted on these guys when it could be better spent on affordable healthcare for the rest of the country or other social programs. Inmates are predators.. They prey on the weak and unfortunately that game will never change.. Just the players.

I work in a federal prison and I can verify that inmates have it so much better than people on the outside world...Why? They get the best medical care that the federal government can provide, due to so many lawsuits that inmates have filed. While honest citizens are working two or three jobs to make ends meet, inmates receive cable T.V, they play basketball, baseball, soccer, handball, bocce ball, ping pong and the list just goes on and on.

Where is it written that 'prison should be punishment?' I say the purpose of prison is to incapacitate violent criminals and other mischief makers--reform optional to those seeking it of their own volition.

I'm thinking that "GOB" in Maricopa county Arizona has the right idea. Its ashame more states dont follow his lead. Great post..when I feel half way sensible I usually stop in and check out you and Keek lately. Keep up the good work you two!

What you say makes sense in theory. Did you know that prison guards are some of the biggest advocates for things like televisions, computers, weight sets, etc? It keeps the prisoners quiet and contented, rather than trying to cut each other's (or the guard's) throat.

oh yeah i agree..and somehow..there has to be something done..as Keek says..they shuld rid the prison system of all the " Pot " offenders...and make room for someone that Really needs to be in prison,And. they need to crack down on what they get on the inside. you are right. its like a low budget motel ,with free house keeping.

women or anyone who dates prisoner are control freaks and like thier bad boys/girls in a controled place. I worked fed adults and state child prisons and find that the system is too entrenced in simply being functional not based on serving justice but just keeping the system going -- three squares a day free medical and tv -- its a life man I agree with you

IMO, if you have any sort of family, being away from them is the worst punishment. Even now, my dad and I don't have a normal relationship by any stretch of the imagination. Also, it's been long determined that "rehabilitation" in prision is a joke - there needs to be some major reforms before rehabilitation is possbile. Like I said, they're treated more like animals than people.
