*tapping desk* Hellooooo, where is this Foxtar guy? To all you Rock, Metal, ect heads. Much respect to you. Listen to what you like. I'll be the first to defend your right and freedom to do so. There wont be any "playa hating" on my end. :-)

mtzmtulivu, you said: "As consumers of rap/hiphop we arent given a fare choice, we have to go out and look for "good" music while the rest is constantly on our faces" Good point. This claim that "no one was buying that" seems like an easy way out. Excuse me, but Common's "Be" as did Tipping Point, did pretty well, mainly because they were on majors. No one can tell me many people would rather buy a Soulja Boy (Booty Meat) CD over PolyRhythm Addicts, if consumers had the OPTION..

..nobody was buying their songs because they were not promoted very well if at all. As consumers of rap/hiphop we arent given a fare choice, we have to go out and look for "good" music while the rest is constantly on our faces..

you must be given options before you can choose. There is a documentary called "hip hop beyond bits and rhymes", its either here or at google videos, its talks about the rise of gangstar hip hop and the buying up record labels by major studios..

"Make sure you know the difference between devil worship and established Satanism, Paradigm, before you trash established religions out of ignorance." Honestly, I could care less. What others choose to listen to is THEIR business. Not mine. So those who choose not to listen to Hip Hop need not be too quick to tell 'us' what we should or should not listen to BASED ON THEIR PERCEPTION OF WHAT THEY *THINK* ALL HIP HOP IS ABOUT!

Make sure you know the difference between devil worship and established Satanism, Paradigm, before you trash established religions out of ignorance. Music is music. It is not alive. It does not kill people or do drugs. It presents ideas and elevates established emotions. Show me the evidence (statistical) of rock or rap influence for these heinous acts, without any other outside influence. Decisions are not made through music.
