Description:
This is a shortened edition of a previous upload. I just wanted you to hear the difference when it is in stereo. I asked many people if uploaded videos could be heard in stereo and all of those asked believed that it was not possible. I am pleased to find that my instinct was correct and if anybody would like to know how to do it, then by all means mail me and I will reply with the information needed. Many people have asked me what can be done with the GT5. Well it is a multi effects processor and it doesn't do anything, it just sits there until YOU play something through IT and tell IT what to do. I have shown a few people how to perform certain tasks with it and they have come up with some incredible stuff. This demo is not perfect by any means, but, it is a good example of what can be done with a little imagination and experimentation. One guitar was used, a fairly normal electric guitar, humbuckers, coil tapped, and this demo was produced by recording 3 layers, i.e. they were not recorded on a multi-track recording system, they were added to one by one (couldn't afford a multi-tracking piece of software). The synth sound was the most difficult part and it took hours of work to find the right combination of spatial effects before I was happy with the sound. A group of competent musicians could take this knowledge and use it to great effect, a decent bass line, couple of guitars, percussion and drums............ It was great fun to do and even if it only inspires one person to create a beautiful piece of music then it will all have been worthwhile. Guitar: Patrick Eggle Berlin standard, customised by "Jonah" the guitar king......... Strings:D'Addario EXL115W (GUAGE 11's) Boss GT5 version 1.06 Software: Sony Soundforge 6 Musician: LittleMickyFingers Full technical info including sysex files available on request. UPDATE: Someone has mailed me and asked me what a sysex file is. Sysex files refer to "System exclusive messages" and in this instance they are the digital form of all the settings on my GT5. You can transfer the settings from the GT5 to a PC and vice versa. Suitable software for this purpose would be "Midiox", a superb bit of software that is free, so long as it is not used for commercial purposes. Unfortunately, you cannot recreate the synth sound with the GT8, the chip design is different and I have tried, but, it cannot be done.........not everything that is new is always the best! |

LittleMickyFingers ::: Favorites Thanks Mary, it means a lot when someone as busy as yourself finds the time to stop by and listen.
